We recently purchased a co-op and needed new flooring installed. We researched several places in our area, and we came across Long Island Fixer Upper. We were impressed by the great reviews right off the bat. They offer a free estimate, so we called and met Ken. Ken was extremely knowledgeable and explained the process to us from start to finish. He even noticed an area in our kitchen that needed work that two other flooring professionals missed! He was very professional, and his costs were fair. We hired him. He was even able to start the job sooner than expected. Both he and his crew worked hard to ensure that we were satisfied. There were a few setbacks that ended up causing the job to take longer than originally planned, but it was due to defects in the flooring materials, not workmanship. As these issues arose, Ken would assure us that he'd take care of it, and he did! His guy, Mike, is amazing. He worked his butt off getting our floors just right. Right at the end, we noticed some planks that were scratched pretty badly. Mike and one of his guys came the next day to fix it. They pulled out the molding and replaced about 6 or 8 planks. Throughout the process, Ken was the utmost professional. He kept in constant contact with us, and we felt confident that the job would be done right. In the end, the floors came out great, and they look absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Ken and your awesome crew, for helping make our place feel like home.

Ken and his crew were awesome. Responsive, professional, and did a great job on my flooring. The crew was familiar with my flooring, ripped up the old flooring, and did a wonderful job installing new vinyl plank. I really love it! Everything Ken said he would do, they did. So happy with Long Island Fixer Upper! Ken’s team included a carpenter, an assistant, and a painter, so the job was well coordinated and provided "One-Stop-Shopping". They stayed on site well beyond 5:00 to keep the project on schedule. The team was prompt and courteous. I called Ken to finish my basement. He came within 2 days of contacting him and got me an estimate 2 days later. He was very cognizant of my budget and worked within my price range offering different solutions to accommodate my needs. When he started the work, everything was done quickly and efficiently, the crew was very nice and polite, and the work came out great. Found Ken on Thumbtack, and I recently used him to have 4 doors, a closet door, and a bathroom mirror replaced. Not only was he prompt in responding to my message, but he was quick to come and give me a quote with his worker Mike and told me exactly what I needed. He even picked up the order from the store because my car was too small. He is very patient and answered all of my questions and responded to my calls and texts quickly. When they came to start the work, I had ordered the wrong items, and they had to come back. He went above and beyond working around my schedule and fitting me into his hectic schedule days before Thanksgiving. He was very responsive from the beginning, was very friendly to work with, and his level of customer service is outstanding! It was very refreshing to find someone who cares about the customer. His worker Mike showed up when he said he would, worked nonstop to make sure everything was done in one visit, was very personable, and respectful, and made sure to clean everything up before he left. He even fixed something that we did not initially discuss without hesitation. He is definitely an asset to the company, and I will definitely be calling them back after the holidays for more work that I need to be done after the holidays!

My 300 sq ft kitchen floor was outdated but solid. Ken knew exactly what had to be done to put a new, beautiful tile floor on top of the old for a fraction of the cost. He took care of the easy-to-overlook details like transition molding and refitting some of the appliances. It’s perfect. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the job.

Ken responded very promptly to my request on Thumbtack for help fixing my patio door handle. He was on time and worked diligently until he fixed the problem. He was honest and respectful and took his time to explain what he was doing. He took the time to answer all my questions and discussed options to fix other issues I have in my home. I really appreciate his concern to do his best job to both fix the problem and make an aesthetically pleasing result. Will definitely call him again in the future. Highly recommend! 5/13/22 Ken sent his associate, Luke, to my home to do repairs to my kitchen cabinets. Considering the work is in tight spaces and attention to detail is needed to make the result functional, this is really tedious work. I appreciate that these gentlemen accept these small but arduous jobs. It’s a true blessing to customers like myself that appreciate their help.
